Sales Rep Spotlight: Meet Luke

Relentless, Real, and Built on Trust

We believe partnerships are built on people. And if you have ever worked with Luke, you know he does not take that lightly.

Luke brings energy, conviction, and a level of persistence that makes it very clear he is invested in the success of the shops he works with. When he says he wants you to succeed, he means it.

How It All Started For Luke

Luke’s entry into the industry was not glamorous. It can only be described as very Luke. Persistent.

Fresh out of college, he responded to an ambiguous job listing he found online. After receiving an automated “thank you” reply, he did what most people would not. He followed up.

Then he followed up again. And again… Eventually, someone had to either hire him or tell him to stop calling.

They hired him.

That same persistence has now translated into more than eight years in the industry. From being one of two people in the early days to becoming a key part of the sales team, Luke has grown alongside Randy’s and the industry itself.

What Shops Sometimes Miss

When asked about common mistakes, Luke is not one to sugarcoat it.

The industry has seen waves of new customers over the years. Some shops embrace that growth. Others resist it. If you do not create an inviting environment, you should not be surprised if new customers do not feel comfortable walking in.

Luke believes branding, merchandising, and presentation are not extras. They are part of the sales strategy. Randy’s marketing materials and in-store support are designed to help shops appeal to both long-time customers and those who are just getting curious.

Growth is an opportunity. But it has to be welcomed.

What It’s Like Working With Luke

If you’ve met Luke you’ll know he is direct. And he values clarity. Before a new account works with him, he wants one thing established first. Trust.

“You can trust me. Bottom line. Once that is established, everything else we can figure out.”

Luke’s background in mortgages taught him the importance of integrity and transparency. He does not believe in overselling. He believes in advising shops to take what sells and then making sure the conditions are right for it to succeed.

Best Tradeshow Moment

Luke’s favorite tradeshow memory? Meeting Ed Reed.

Tradeshows are long days. They are loud. They are nonstop conversations. They are meeting after meeting after meeting. Luke knows the joys and the not-so-joys of that rhythm.

But here is what matters. His favorite part of tradeshows is the people.

He understands that everyone in that room is there with purpose. Retailers are investing time away from their stores. Buyers are making real decisions. Brands are building relationships that matter long after the booth comes down.

For Luke, working a tradeshow is not about standing behind a table and handing out samples. It is about showing up with intention. Keeping conversations straightforward. Making the time someone spends at the booth feel productive and easy.

He enjoys being in the room with the industry. And he wants the people he meets there to leave feeling like their time was well spent.

Some Things Never Go Out of Style

When asked what never goes out of style in this industry, Luke does not point to a trend or a flashy new category. He points to something more fundamental.

Being genuine.

In a world that can sometimes feel transactional, authenticity stands out. Principles matter. Consistency matters. Being real with people matters.

That philosophy shapes how he works with shops. And it is also why our award winning Black Label sits at the top of his favorites list.

It is consistent. It does exactly what it says it will do. No hype. No gimmicks. It simply works.

For Luke, that kind of reliability never goes out of style.

Outside the Office

When he is not working, Luke keeps things fun.

We asked his favorite sports team and without hesitation he said, the Harlem Globetrotters. That tells you everything you need to know. He appreciates skill, showmanship, and doing things at a high level.

Otherwise, you will probably find him watching videos of cats doing something ridiculous. His explanation?

“Cats could learn but they just like, don’t.”

Some things are universally entertaining.
